Autumn Term 2019
Hilden Music School
A huge thank you to Hilden Music School who have come all the way from Germany to perfom for our children. A great time was had by all the children trying out the instruments.
The orchestra played for our school first, then introduced us to each of the instruments. We then got hands on with all of the instruments, asking questions, having a go and getting involved.
What a fantastic opportunity!
Year 5 trip to the museum of the moon
Year 5 had an out of this world experience at Warrington Museum where they experienced immersive drama based on the moon. The children took part in trail activities around Warrington Museum, as well as training to be an astronaut. The children are now all fully qualified to travel in space!
5CF Anti-bullying Assembly
The whole school came together to watch 5CF perform their class assembly. The children had put together some amazing videos that they had created using the ipads, showing different scenarios and how we can make a change.
We celebtated Odd Sock Day on Tuesday 12th November, celebtating that we are all the same, but different.
In each class we will now look at our anti-bullying policy and how we can ensure that we all make the right choices. Thank you 5CF for leading the way.
Year 3 - The Stars Are Coming Out For Christmas
Our Year 3 pupils were fantastic in their performance of The Stars Are Coming Out For Christmas. The children spoke clearly, sung beautifully and produced a performance to be proud of. Thank you for your support and help with lines, costumes and songs. We hope that you all enjoyed the show!
Year 5 - Primary School Christmas Musical
What a funny, fantastic performance Year 5 gave today, telling the tale of how Key Stage 2 were going to put on a Nativity. The story told of how certain children wanted staring roles, but none of them realised that they would be in a Nativity. The children played their parts with enthusiasm and pride. They certainly wowed the audience with their singing and acting skills. A super job, well done team!
Year 5 Safety Central Trip
Year 5 had a fantastic time at Safety Central in Lymm. The children started with a quiz on the iPads to find out what their safety sense was like at the start. They then took part in many activities; from investigating a bike accident, incidents on the farm, to reading signs and looking at dangers around the home. They children learnt many vital skills like the recovery position, how to make a 999 call and check it Tuesday to ensure your smoke detector is working well. A fantastic trip for everyone.
Year 3 & 4 Warrington wolves tag rugby tournament
A huge well done to our Year 3 and 4 tag rugby teams. Following a series of training sessions in school, with the Warrington Wolves Rugby Coaches, our children took part in this fantastic rugby tournament. The children were amazing ambassadors for the school and used all of their team skills to be the best that they could be. A highlight was also getting to meet Wolfie!
Year 5 Cluster Sport
Year 5 have been to Bridgewater High School to participate in their annual cluster sports festival. This is run by Bridgewater's sports' leaders who work extremely hard to encourage the children to participate in all areas of sport. The children have been using all of their throwing, shooting, dribbling and running skills, whilst having fun. Thank you Bridgewater High School.
children in need 2019
We have all had great fun today raising money for Children in Need. Thank you to all of the children and staff who dressed up and donated. It was so relaxing to wear our PJs to school.
Year 4 - Squeak
Well normally we wouldn't want mice in school, but the mice on stage to day were amazing! Well done to the Year 4 children and team for their tale of Squeak. The children sung and performed brilliantly, we are so proud of you all.
Year 6 - Gimme, Gimme, Gimme!
Year 6 were amazing today in their performance of Gimme, Gimme, Gimme! They showed us that when we think about Christmas, we shouldn't think of a shopping list, but of all the people in our lives. The children were so good and the photos show the variety of the performance. Well done too for our fantastic music at the start!
