Spring Term 2019

Year 3 Stone Age Experience

Our Year 3 classes have each experienced life in the Stone Age.  They have spent time researching the period, discovering what life was like, learning about weapons and they have even tried to grind their own wheat to make flour.

Chinese Head Teacher Visit

On Monday we were thrilled to host our Chinese Head Teachers, who had travelled from our partner schools.  They were immersed in a morning of activites, starting with a welcome assembly and then visiting each year group to see how we learn.  They had a fantastic time and we look forward to further updates and information from them soon!

5CJ Tattenhall Residential

5CJ have had a fantastic residential to Tattenhall where they have performed, danced and completed many art activities and as you can see are having an amazing time!

Stone Age Shelters

Year 3 have designed and built their own minature Stone Age shelters.  They have effectively worked as a team to create these fantastic shelters, that are on display in the classroom for all to see!  Look at the detail, right down to the animal skin beds and pillows!  A fantastic team job, well done!

Year 3 Cluster Sports

Following on from their success at the Warrington Football Finals, here are our Girls' Under 11 football team at the Cheshire County Finals.  They played really well, but were unfortunate not to progress on goal difference.  They made us really proud and were a total delight to take to this event.  Well done!

PTA Crazy Hair Day

Following the highly successful Tattenhall residential, Year 5 produced a fabulous Tattenhall Performance.  The photos are just a snapshot of the amazing acheivements of all of the children.  What a fantastic celebration evening for our our parents to come along to share the poetry, dance and song.  Thank you all involved!

Year 4 Snow Queen Castles

As a whole school we celebrated World Book Day in style.  The children came to school dressed in their favourite character, we did a Character Catwalk and shared our favourite books with another year group.  It was an amazing day, filled with fun and reading!

Connecting Classrooms 2019

Year 3 & 4 along with year 5 & 6 have been working really hard to prepare for their cheerleading competition at the weekend.  They performed their routines in assembly today and we were all in total awe!  They are such a talented group, who work together as a team so effectively.

We wish them every success at the weekend.  You have already made us really proud!

Growth Mindset in Year 3

The children in Year 3 have been working on their positive mental attitudes.  They have learnt to keep trying and to stay positive, making tasks that are challenging, much more achievable.  Well done Year 3 and keep on working hard!

On Wednesday year 3 had a really fun day at Bridgewater High School taking part in our cluster sport event, along with other primary schools in our local area.  As you can see they really enjoyed the variety of activities that were led by the fantastic Bridgewater Year 9 Sport Leaders. Activites involved: throwing, catching, running, balancing just to mention a few.  All the children had a truly wonderful day!

Our PTA are always organising such exciting events to help raise vital funds for our school.  Today we held a craxy hair day, where the children could be as creative as they liked with their hair, in exchange for the donation of a £1.00 to the school PTA.  As you can see we all had great fun and raised vital funds.  Thank you everyone!

Year 5 Tattenhall Presentation Evening

Year 4 have been learning all about the Snow Queen; reading and writing stories, acting and even making their own Snow Queen Castle.  The photos show what fantastic designers they are, with great attention to detail.  The children also have rather wild looking hair - from the PTA Mad Hair Day!

World Book Day 2019

Mrs Percival has received a very warm welcome from our hosts in South Africa.  After arrival the representitives from our Warrington Schools visitied Moriting Primary School, where they had a welcome concert, singing, dancing and poetry.   The learners were so proud to share their culture, learning and school.  An exciting first day!

Mrs Percival has now taught lessons on gender diversity and shared the work from our children with the learners.  She has watched poetry lessons and visited the reception class to share photos of our school and families.

Meetings have been really beneficial, sharing information with the governors of the school, Senior Leaders and teachers, comparing the education systems and learning from each other.
